Kilian's Robot Shop of Horrors - 09/28/2001
The motor controller box that Alan pulled out of the trash. |
It has a board like this. It has 4 - LM628 chips. |
Here the controller is wired to a power amp and a Pittman motor. |
After hours of playing it finally talks to the computer. |
We hooked up Alan's batteries to a test load. |
Jeff's 50 amp shunt to measure current. |
Jeff's load resistors. 3 - 0.3 ohm resistors gives us about 1 ohm. |
Voltage on the two batteries before we started. |
Voltage and current while it is running. You can see it is about 23 amps. |
An old battery wouldn't take a charge. So we plan to put some water in it. |
A closer view of the rubber vent cap on each cell. |
